'Icons of Art from Pakistan'

The exhibition “Icons of Art from Pakistan” at the Ejaz Gallery opened on Thursday showcasing the art work of some of the biggest names in the field. The diversity of work being displayed is an enchantment for those who visit. The master pieces of artists like Collin David, Saeed Akhtar, MF Hussain, AR Nagoori and Zulqarnain Haider are on display, depicting the diverse art forms from abstract compositions to paintings addressing communal discrimination and sardonic presentations of ‘the Orientalist and Oriental’. Use of patterns of marble and precious stones can be seen in Gulgee’s work and beautiful calligraphy and portrait design is a special feature of Sadequians work. Many young artists are also being displayed at the exhibition which continues till the 1^st of March.
